A New York-based ceramicist, Shell Fusca explores how domestic objects participate and define the role of connection through conversation, dining, and storytelling. Striking a delicate balance between utility and artistry, Fusca’s sculptural works are imbued with memory, embracing the marks of the human touch: the scratches, fingerprints, and organic shifts of drying clay. Her pieces, deeply influenced by the frescoes and archaeological remnants of Pompeii, serve as a tactile homage to her lineage, while continuing and celebrating the legacy of her grandmother and great-aunt, both ceramicists.
Every object is handmade and made to order.
